⚠️ Warning: SalarySe Credit Card — Don't Fall for the Rewards Hype [Personal Experience]

Wanted to warn this community before anyone else wastes their money on the SalarySe credit card.

I've seen multiple people now running into the same issues, so this isn't a one-off bad experience.

The advertised rewards don't exist in practice:

• Spend ₹1,000+ at a hotel for breakfast — get only base rewards, zero accelerated rewards despite what's advertised
• Use it at restaurants expecting the promised 10% rewards — end up getting not even 1% cashback
• The milestone benefits they advertise? Nowhere to be found

Customer support is useless:

• Unable to answer basic queries about their own reward structure
• When you escalate, they just repeat the same scripted response
• No accountability whatsoever

The terms and conditions are deliberately tricky — written in a way that lets them wriggle out of every reward promise they make in their marketing.

One person paid the joining fee, used the card for just one month, and is already done with it — requesting a joining fee reversal just to return the card. That says everything.

Bottom line: This card is aggressively marketed with rewards that don't materialize in real usage. If you're considering it, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

My review on Redmi Note 10 Pro

 I've been using this phone just about 2/3 weeks (will add here if I found something striking in the coming days ;-) ). So, my review will be based on that short period of time. My last phone was Redmi note 4 which was working fine over three & half years and suddenly the battery of Redmi Note 4 working poorly. Means from 40% to zero within moment and hence that phone was far from usable. Therefore I bought this after some research . So though my last phone is quite old model specially where the technology is rapidly evolving, still I try to compare few things with Redmi Note 4 with Note 10 (as some of the features I found is not as good in this newer version of Redmi note that was pretty efficient in the older version)

First of all I'm not a gamer and in Great Indian sale from Amazon, I got this phone just over 15k (clubbing with my credit card cashback offer). Though 2 week is very short period, however I can say around 15k it's one of the best.
The only difference between Redmi note 10 pro & Redmi note 10 pro max is the camera. And again I'm an old fashioned person who still respect DSLR than a mobile phone , so only for 108 MP-I prefer not to spend extra 3k (approx.).
Still for the photo lover, I am attaching a photo that I took with Redmi note 10 pro in night mode, so people can see the quality by themselves.
Performance is decent. However I saw for a long call, screen sometimes suddenly become black and for calls like customer care where in between you may need to use keypad , it's irritating.
Battery : with my above average internet usage e.g. WhatsApp, Twitter etc. last around 24 hours.
Please note 2 points as depicted below:
1) I switch off the GPS once, when it not needed.
2) My blue-tooth generally on as I need to use my wireless earbud.
Now I'm disappointed about couple of things when I am comparing a MAR21 launch with very old model Redmi note 4.
1. When charging (though it takes around 2 hours even in so called fast charging mode), the phone becomes quite hot. My Redmi Note 4 till today is less than 50% hot, compared to this new model and that also (without the so called fast charging feature) been fully charged in less than 2 hours.
2. For the same Vodafone sim, which I pulled out from my old Redmi note 4;I suddenly found more blind places in my locality. The internet signal which may be slow for Note 4, but simply not working for Redmi Note 10 pro. (Like inside many shop in the same locality now my GPAY is not working which worked with some slowness in the older model).
3. In the same Realme earbud , sometimes I saw the blue-tooth connectivity is having the issue in this model  which was never in Redmi Note 4.
So my conclusion: if you are like me, who feel uncomfortable for carrying really costly devices in their pocket, and if your budget is around 15/16k, you can use it.
If I get the same phone in 20k, I'd give 3 star(average) - whereas in 15k price range, I'll comfortably rate above average!

On the top of my last post - I like to add couple of more here and will update the list as there is unfortunately no timeline of lifting the lock-down

1. Made in Heaven - good content somehow feeling not all the dots been connected properly. In some cases spoils due to bit of overacting : According to me it's 8 out of 10
2. PANCHAYAT - Very nice depiction of rural India in terms of humor (sarcasms ?). Lots of people are happy to see OLD version of Ramayana Mahabharata etc. in TV,I like 2 request them 2 see PANCHAYAT which correctly shows the difference between India and Hindustan. According to me it's 9 out of 10
3. PUSHPAVALI - Enjoyed but yeah somehow feel little over-dramatic. Yet to watch the part 2. After watching the part 2 will add the score card :-)

The web-series I loved in Amazon Prime - part 1

Due to lock down in my flat for Corona Virus outbreak, I explored Amazon Prime series.
Earlier due to lack of patience I didn't try many but now as no office journey, working from home hence tried to watch those series.
I know already there are much elaborated reviews with pictures videos for most of them but here I like to share my own views: (I list as per the order I've seen those in last couple of months)
The family man :  It's related with one of the most talked subject matter nowadays in mainstream Bollywood movies viz. sleeping cells, intelligence, terrorism still what I liked the courage of the director of this movie to depict the agony of cops/intelligence persons after a fake or misunderstood encounter. This is the topic where lots of the film side stepped. According to me it's 8 out of 10

The forgotten army : Lots of movies deal with the Netaji Subhas Bose, his life, mysterious death (?) etc but this movie deals the life of INA and their contribution from a different angle. Kudos to the director. IMO - it's 7.5 out of 10.

Inside Edge : Both the session deals with the shadow behind the light in Premier T20 league in India - little larger than life. 7 out of 10 

Mirzapur - A crime story, gang war etc in a small city. A topic which has been touched by quite a few in the mainstream Bollywood but the screenplay, proper editing and acting is the salient feature of this movie. Most of the actors , definitely Pankaj Tripathy - really make this series a treat to watch. Will wait for season 2. According to me it's 8.5 out of 10

Hostel Daze: Enjoyed thoroughly and believe will enjoy everyone who knows about the hostel life of engineering students. Can't wait for the season 2. Can anyone please update? According to me it's 9 out of 10

My study plan and experience for AWS Certified Solution Architect examination

First I apologies though I like to keep this post short but eventually it became a long post.

Before going into the details I like to tell I'm having 10+ years of experience and although before the preparation I've very little know-how about AWS but I had some working knowledge with Azure in data side i.e. Azure SQL DW, ADF ADLS hence I don't need to spend time to understand what is cloud why it's been used etc.
Lets come to my plan from the beginning - it took me around 4 month as my study  being interrupted.

First I created an account to Udemy and go thru couple of free courses given by Linux academy and one by backspace.

Then I searched and find the reviews for the below  course is decent AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate [New Exam] Created by DolfinEd .

The reason I took this course apart from feedback is that the content it covers and I don't want a short cut here. Getting a certificate is not my only target rather implement the knowledge in real life project is my aim (sorry for some GYAN :-)

Nevertheless I go thru the course religiously and find though it's lengthy but most of the topic are covered in depth. For the sheer length some of the topic I skipped like DW architecture, understandings or Database design or NoSQL introduction. I feel DAX is missing for Dynamo DB and ALB topic should be better. There should be a brief lecture for CodeDeploy, Code Pipeline etc. and as well as Athena what is it, what it does.

Another thing I didn't like about this course is instead of the quiz questions after each topic they should have small quiz section after each and remaining questions can be put into couple of practice tests. Let me explain why 'm  critical on this. Lets say a question comes after Dynamo DB in the quiz section so  your mind start guessing that the answer should be Dynamo DB. This guessing without understanding why the others can't be the best answer will not help.

Therefore I bought Whizlab test series where all the exam my score was 85%.

Then in group I saw people are recommending about Neil Davis question bank which is ful of tricky questions. There I got just 70 to 73% to all tests barring test 5 where I got fail :-(
(The pass mark for Neil Davis is 70%)

And another thing I like to share that due to my intense work pressure I can't repeat any of the examination but try to understand while reviewing why my answer is incorrect.
After the test i spend at east 1.5 to 2 hours for a particular set and raised question to the owner if I have any doubt about the answer.
Let me give an example from Neil Davis question

So according to me this kind of arguments should be in your mind as you'll hardly get any common questions in your exam. So in real exam you need to differentiate why the other options can't be correct.

Before the topics from where I got the questions in exam I'd like to add two more points.
1. Lots of people I know are complaining they don't have AWS real life experience hence they feared it'd be a road block to the exam. I have real life AWS experience but I worked mainly on server-less part Glue, Lambda, API Gateway. My DB work on majorly to build a data-warehouse in  Redshift and for real time streaming I worked on Kinesis . None of these topics are carrying high weightage in the actual exam, at least the question bank against which I've been tested! I got one simple Redshift question for which you only need to know the use cases of any Data warehouse like what kind of data they are storing. Same for Kinesis and 2 in lambda. So my work brings 5 sure points and without that also anyone can score those straight forward 5 questions! Believe me.
2. I'm an avid reader this helped me a lot. I finished the exam in less than 105 minutes. If you read faster it'll help. I know this is not an English exam but for me quite a few questions are lengthy and for some question which is 2 liner , each options were about 3 to 4 lines :-((

Now the topics what I recollected from exam.
1. ASC -- what's the minimum number of instance you need to have so even an AZ down you still can survive with 6 instances (simple arithmetic)
2. Few questions of ALB (host based , path based) and one for NLB
3. AWS Athena
4. SG vs NACL
5. DAX & other use cases differentiation between Dynamo DB and RDS
6 Cloud front
7. Elastic Cache
8. EFS (quite a few)
9. Route 53
10. AWS AD directory, Ad connector , simple AD use cases
11. SQS
12. Instance type
13. EBS type - which to use when kind of?
14. S3.
15. Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda

I didn't get any question which looked for choose 3 options- 20+ questions are about choosing 2 options though!

My experience for paying road tax and car re-registration in Bangalore RTO Kasturi Nagar

It's since a long time I wrote the last post. The intent of writing this post the way it's an utter frustration for me - hence I don't want any other person who is going to change the registration or , paying the road tax for outstation car , should be facing the same.
First if you only want to pay the road tax then you need to have the actual invoice copy, your proof of residence (RTO help-desk told they only accept voter ID, ADHAAR or BSNL bill or water tax) and insurance and pollution certificate.
If you want to manage any lack of documentation you can contact an agent but that'll cost additional money.
The first issue is that it's a government office and the help desk of RTO Kasturi Nagar is worst. If you ask any question they'd be looking as if you're asking some money from them :-)
First tip : try to go mid of weekdays like TUES, WED or THURS - the crowd will be little lesser.
Now for me the challenge was that I am changing or doing the re-registration of my vehicle hence NOC was also required. The required doc inclusive both re-registration and road tax:

• NOC
• Insurance paper
• Pollution or emission certificate
• Form 27 -CMV'
• Form 27 -KMV
• Form 33
• Form 14

From the last form you need to collect SRMB report for tax calculation for your vehicle. The lady in counter 6/7 is so rude she can't help you anything - later we came to know for that you need to go to the Infantry road to collect. And to avoid the hassle you can give 500 rupee to an agent who can collect the report and give it to you.
After that RTO commissioner's signature is required and then the most dreadful part the inspection. That guy is a demon :-)

As my office is on the other part of the city eventually I got hold of an agent to do the thing but if you have some time and patience you may try to do by yourself.

Some common error for installing APTANA studio 3.0 and run the same

I like to make this post is very small.
While installing it gave me an error

Failed to correctly acquire intaller_nodejs_windows.msi file: CRC error.

So I was trying to find the installer nodejs in my sytem but unable to locate installer_nodejs_windows.msi on my PC. Therefore I downloaded it manually from the below mentioned link: http://go.aptana.com/installer_nodejs_windows
After installing Node JS for Windows, I was able to successfully install Aptana.
Then while I was able to run it gave me error code like

Then I install  "The 32-bit version of the JDK download" but still facing the issue.
After googling I found to solve the same
1-Go to apatana folder and find the AptanaStudio3.ini file
"C:\Users\[YourUser]\AppData\Roaming\Appcelerator\Aptana Studio"
2- Modify the file by adding the java 32-bit version path to AptanaStudio3.ini
At last I'm able to run it!
