Trying to write a Limerick. .

Limerick is a five liner that contains some light weight expression
and following some rhythmic structure. Not to going too much details
about the definition, I'm here posting
the limerick that I've written right now.
Actually I wrote this for my colleague to make her angry a bit and
we banter while she became angry easily :-)

I know this girl,
she is not special!
she is little bit weird..
And becomes very easily tired
Sometimes selfish, often childish
Sending her happy new years wish!!!

Don't forget to let me know my attempt to write the limerick ..

Dasam Falls - Another Wonderful Falls near Ranchi

DON'T GET CONFUSED BY SEE THE DATES IN THE PHOTO AS IT IS AN ERROR IN MY DIGI-CAM THAT NEED TO BE SOLVED :-)

The name "Dasam" comes from ten outlets but no doubt it is another wonderful falls nearby Ranchi, Jharkhand.
It is a nice place for picnic or spending your leisure time with your family and friends but once again and as usual the place remains comparatively empty because of the political turbulence caused by Maoists.
I don't know how long we'll continue to loss to see all these beautiful place because of this extremist politics. I wonder that why neither State nor Central Government didn't pay attention to the Tourism Industry that can be effectively developed here. Probably sometimes too many options are creating problems! In some of the country, the dearth of place for tourists are so huge that their Government would have considered themselves lucky if they can have places like these.
And if tourism industry could have been build effectively then probably the Maoist problem would not have surfaced out. I believe the life style of the native citizens can be improved enormously by doing so.

Era as per Hindu Mythology -Durgapuja @ Kumortuli Park 2010

The worship of goddess Durga in Kumortuli Park was based on the theme of division of era as per Hindu Mythology. The pandel was framed as Kalchakra -- The Time Wheel
As per Hindu Mythology the era can be divided into four broad category - Satya , Treta, Dwapor and Koli.
The avatar of Lord Vishnu at Satya era....He had 4 hands according to myth with Sankha , Padma (Lotus in one of his hand), Gada and Chakro (both are weapon to kill demon) in each of his hands
The beautiful inner decoration of the roof... amazing!!!

Above Ram - the avatar of Treta era and left Shree Krishna -- the avatar of Dwapor
The goddess Durga, demolishing evil and establishing peace.... I'm really glad to see the perfection of Kumortuli Park... I don't know whether they won any prize or not but according to me it is one of the best in this year!

Ranchi - queen of Chotonagpur Plateau

DON'T GET CONFUSED BY SEE THE DATES IN THE PHOTO AS IT IS AN ERROR IN MY DIGI-CAM THAT NEED TO BE SOLVED :-)

The bird eye view of Ranchi city from the hill. But the unplanned development simply ruined the natural beauty as in most of other cities in India.
Even after the mushrooming of concrete structure here and there of the city, it is still a sheer delight to see the blue sky!

In Chotonagpur Forest --- Jona Falls , Jharkhand

Because of some political extremist turbulence, people usually avoid this beautiful falls and surrounding forest. I think far from the madding crowd and din and bustle of the city this kind of short trip can give you a welcome refresh!
When I reached to Jona falls the first question came to my mind is that why there is no place to stay. The answer is simple that political condition doesn't permit you to do so. Unfortunately because of this we can't stay such an adventurous place ....
Just have a look at the dense forest and tell me wont you enjoy your time with some special one in a wooden cottage? I believe you will!

P.S: DON'T GET CONFUSED BY SEE THE DATES IN THE PHOTO AS IT IS AN ERROR IN MY DIGI-CAM THAT NEED TO BE SOLVED :-)

Dream... inspired from Inception

Recently I watched the movie Inception and thoroughly enjoyed it. Earlier also I used to think how to control my dream. As an example before my 10th exam I used to dream I would not able to complete my exam paper and teacher eventually would snatch it! I can still remember I used to sweat a lot and woke up from my bed with perspiration. Eventually I used to find that it was only dream and I slept!I don't know why most of the time I dreamed about my first language examination.
In my university there were some guys who see something so called sexy and steamy dream :-) But I'm rather fortunate(?) not to see such kind of dreams rather I remember in one of my dream I experienced an accident in a hilly region. It is also my perception that we can remember mostly the scary ones!
Recently I experienced a dream in which I was arguing one of my juniors of college and I don't know why I'm arguing with her! She was junior to me for one year and actually never noticed much her in college! Then worked with her for sometime in the same organization and now with no contact. But funny thing is that whatever be the cause of this dream, I was arguing logically.
Now I need to have an architect of the dream and a team composed of some relevant person to be a Leonardo De Caprio... ha ha ha!!!
Then I can implant dream and attack to the most vulnerable state :-)

Insert Data with Identity Column

To Insert data in identity column
set identity_insert table_name on
insert......
set identity_insert table_name off
How to alter a normal column into Identity column?
This really created a problem and I solved in the following fashion.
Just change the previous table as a different name and then create a new table with the name of the former table. But be careful that if the previous table has some PK-FK relationship , you have to use the Alter Table query to change the relationship
ALTER TABLE [dbo].[ITradeOrderItems] DROP CONSTRAINT
[FK__NAME]

Paul the Oracle Octopus

In India, usually it has been observed that people keep their faith on supernatural entities and they believe in some form of powers which are inexplicable in terms of Science. It has often been told that people of western country don't believe these kind of things and they are often termed as these cultures are the byproduct of this part of the world and not the byproduct of western culture.
But by giving importance to a octopus whom they termed as Oracle Octopus Paul , simply doesn't advertise their claim. The octopus was oracle as long as it was giving the favorable outcome for Germany i.e. Paul predicted Germany would win against Argentina and Paul was dear to Germans and for the reverse case even some of the German fan wanted to have a feast with Paul. Its more than sarcastic. Its really funny to see Spanish President wanted to give Paul a protection.
To see all those, its tough to digest that we are living in a world of nanotechnology rather it confirms that quantum theory and quackery will go by hand in hand.

Who determines what to do?

I usually use my own form of signature in my email : sometimes I put custom message along with my name and sometimes some url or my blog url i.e this url. There are some person who try to form unnecessary rules or decorum about what should be done? This kind of person might say to you that you should not use non official signature.
Who will fix what is official and what is not? And from where they can ask someone to change his or her signature? Firstly do we have any clear cut demarcation about the official and unofficial signature? On what basis we can create rules those are meaningless? You can't add something obscene in your signature but some inspirational quote or your blog url if that is not a container of an offensive entity , can't you add?
The problem is that in our society there is no clear demarcation of anything and to make something more formal or rational or moral we simply love to make things complex!
So do the things which you think logical... thinking too much is such a waste of time!

Tragedy in Stephen House,Park Street Kolkata - Who is responsible?

The recent tragedy in Kolkata probably was inevitable. Not only in Stephen House but also many buildings in Kolkata have illegal construction and if you ask to the caretaker , if there is any about the building plan etc, then the caretaker will keep his silence. There are so many illegal constructions in the city but still the authorities never come out with effective plans.
Houses in north Kolkata where the legal heirs have been fighting for the years and consequently none of the heirs has any interest to renovate or repairing the buildings. Consequently those houses are all hanging as a death traps. Every years during the time of heave rainfall one or two of them collapse and probably a few people either seriously injured or a fewer unfortunates die. Again the authorities form committees after committees , newspaper reporters publish a few investigative reporting , TV anchors of local channels hold few shows and after this everything calms down and people live as they did earlier.
In some of the houses people have been remaining tenant as ever and giving the landlord an unusual lower rent. Can you ever imagine two rooms in a metro city in India have a rent of 50 rupees ? I can't. So the landlords are not interested to maintain those houses as usual they can even can't pay the municipality tax by those rent and still even some of those rents are sent to rent control office where you have to pay more bribe than your house rent if you want to get the rents as a landlord.
In last few months Kolkata has seen a few fire related tragedy but no effective steps have been taken and Kolkatans continue to live in this way as they are unfortunaely born and live here.

Happy Holi

Happy holi to all!!!!
I've never had a great involvement in holi because since my childhood I was very scare of those dark sticky colors. Rather I always prefer to take a place in our attic where lots of cockroaches, lizards and spiders were there. So I've spent many holis along with them!
Our house was almost at center place of the town where I was born and brought up. Hence lots of the friends, relatives used to come to our house and some of them used to search me for fun. I am never able to find the reason that if someone doesn't like to participate something , then why others force to him / her to be a part of the same.Anyway nowadays my scare about colors have been removed and last few years I've played with ABIR / GULAL. Lots of my friends who are courageous enough to take the occasion of holi to play little bit with girls but for me some of the girls threw colors to me. Reason is same as I've never a penchant for playing holi rather always try to escape from it so a little bit of ragging....

Sachin breaks 200 mark -- best ever Indian Sportsperson

Yesterday the batting maestro became the first ever batsman of the history of Cricket to cross the barrier of 200 in one day international. The little master, like Sir Don who is responsible to introduce a word in dictionary: like Bradman, will be responsible for adding a word! After playing 20 years and more, he still able to reach or conquer milestone that was untouched for over 42 years!

I don't know but like some of my friends to term him the undoubted best in Indian Sports, I've some doubt in my mind. Most of us carry a very short term memory. How can we forget about Dhyan-Chand? To see his stick works, one of the supreme of an European nation requested him to play for his country.

First individual gold medal winner in shooting, Avinav Bindra is one of the brightest star in Indian Sports along with Saina who is still flourishing and we only can wait for her better performance. I personally feel in Tennis especially in doubles Lee and Bhupati are two stalwarts and unfortunately their pair was broken while they were among top three seeded.

There are so many like even in Cricket we've Mr. Kapil Dev and Gavaskar. Prior to Mr. Dev people can hardly imagine that India can produce genuine pacer and Sachin's comment about Gavaskar itself says about his legacy.

But still as per sheer performance and the time during which a player can be in top, Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand and Sachin Tendulkar definitely claim a distinct position though its really difficult to make a comparative studies among the different sports which have different parameters.

IPL Auction made Indians embarrassed

First of all, I must say I'm not a great fan of Cricket but I personally believe one of the aspects of any game or sports event to foster harmony and peace. It is not a new concept about which we are talking, rather  comes from the history of civilization. If we look at the ancient Olympics, we can see at the time of that event, whole Greece (Macedonia then) was involved in ancient Olympics and there was peace at the time of the event.
Similarly in several occasion, we've seen sports as a bridge between two culture and sports person often stepped as a brand ambassador for the country (s)he represents. Although there are some exceptions where politics blended with sports, those cases are still seen as an undesirable sporadic incidences.
But this IPL Auction has crossed all the limits. Initially it has been tactfully spread out by Mr. Lalit Modi and his contingent that actually it is pure cricketing reason for which the cricketers of Pakistan didn't make it through any franchise .Some critics commented out this is bullshit as  Pakistan has got good number of players suitable for this format of Cricket. Then some clever official spread rumor indirectly that because of government permission regarding visa prompted franchise not to take any  cricketers of Pakistan.
Couple of bitter pills to Mr. Lalit Modi once again:
First,Wasim Akram, bowling consultant of Knight Riders, is a former cricketer of Pakistan. If he doesn't have any problem to get VISA permission from the Indian government, then it is beyond common sense why any cricketer of the same country would have been facing problem?
Second, several Singers and other professionals from Pakistan can get VISA from the government of India. Does Mr. Lalit Modi deny the fact?
Day before yesterday, honorable Home Minster told to the reporters that he never thought that there would be any such problem. Now we should demand to IPL committee that why they are hiding facts ? Specially as these kind of irrational activities simply act as an adverse direction of the direction of the path through which most of the person of both the present generation of India and  the present generation of Pakistan want to move. Does IPL committee will take the moral responsibility of this gesture?
While we've seen in the past, Cricket, at least most of the times acts as a stimulant to build relationship between these two country. But this time it simply acted unwarrantably. Lastly if IPL committee has had any issue with the cricketers of Pakistan , it could have been sorted out otherwise; at least it would have been better than what happened  if none of the cricketer of Pakistan been put into the auction. Its because of an unfair and unprofessional attitude of IPL committee , whole cricketing fraternity will be affected.

Happy 2010 -- Few thoughts and doubts

Hey all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wishing all your dreams , goals have been materialized in 2010.
I like to discuss few points here, which might be interesting to you too or even you've also countered those in your life. I would like to know your thoughts also regarding the same either by email or by putting your comments here.
Since my teenage, I've a doubt in my mind that which one having greater impact to life : luck or effort?
Answer is : "It Depends"
When you are doing something related to your professional life or career, effort is more important and has impact to change in your life than luck; but when you are doing something not related with your professional life or career, the scenario reverses.
Let me give an example , you are preparing for some exam, more the effort you'll put , more the chance will be there that you'll be coming out with flying colors.
Almost every quantitative aspects , effort has more impact than luck does.
But consider the scenario, you want to make a friendship with someone , you can't put effort on that.
If she believes that you are not at all suitable for her friendship or if she thinks that you are not honest etc , you can't convince her by putting effort.
You've to have bestowed with sheer luck so that she can be kind enough to accept your friendship.

Secondly how can we distinguish between infatuation and love?
Lets try to write the answer of this in different fashion. Do you think Love at first sight are nearly equivalent to infatuation? One of the meanings of infatuation is "Temporary Love". But every thing in our life when starts, starts like a transient and temporary fashion and then after the passage of time if that has the potential, the temporary one becomes an eternal. In this way of thought, infatuation may end to the true love in some cases. Other meaning of infatuation is "A foolish and usually extravagant passion or love or admiration". Don't you think that the same can be said for the love at first sight?
Some says love is illogical . Probably that is why it is beautiful. But as its really difficult to segregate between infatuation and love , its tough to find parameters with which we can distinguish between this two closely related things yet different in ending!
